Your practice’s unique web address

When you fill in the site set-up form we ask you to enter three suggested domain names in order of preference. (Your domain name is the bashstreet-surgery.co.uk part of your website’s full address or URL - http://www.bashstreet-surgery.co.uk.)

As soon as we receive your set-up information we register the first available domain name from your list. As soon as your site goes live - normally in well under 24 hours - we send you an email confirmation. This is all included in the set-up charge.

If your practice already has a website, we will help you to transfer your existing domain name to Sites4Doctors for no extra charge, though your current hosting provider may make a charge for which you will be responsible.

The annual hosting and support charge includes the costs incurred in maintaining your domain name registration.

Most GP practices already have all the email addresses they need set up via the NHS. If you want some more user-friendly ones based on your domain name, such as prescriptions@bashstreet-surgery.co.uk, these can be set up at no extra cost, but please be aware that they may not be as secure as the .nhs.uk ones.
