PicturesThe Pages box is where you deal with the three types of Web content which you can manage in the Sites4Doctors package: pages, documents (which behave like pages) and pictures (which you insert into pages). The Upload an image link in the Pages box allows you to browse your local computer or network to find the electronic image you want to upload to your website. Simply clicking a button sends the picture straight into your images folder. If you wish, you can give the image a descriptive title - ’Main surgery from the street’, for example - this will make it easier to find the right picture when you insert it into a web page. You can upload any kind of image file that can be displayed by a web browser, but we recommend the JPEG format for photographs (from a digital camera or scanner) and the GIF format for graphics with large areas of flat colour, such as logos. Putting pictures in your web pagesWhile creating or editing a web page, simply place the text cursor where you want the picture to appear and click the image button. Then select the picture from the list and click a button. There are various options for fomatting pictures. |
