Managing practice details

One of the most important features of the Sites4Doctors package is the automatic publication of all your basic practice information. Simply by filling in a few online forms, you save hours of work creating special web pages to present this information and ensure that it is all displayed clearly and consistently.

Of course, in keeping with our policy of giving you total control of your site, you have the option to switch any automatic page off and replace it with one of your own.

Clicking the Manage practice details link takes you to a page with links to a number of forms.

Edit practice details

Allows you to enter the official practice name for use on invoices and correspondence, edit your national code and PCT, select ’Limited Partnership’ or not and select ’training practice’ or not.

You can then enter details of the clinics offered by the practice, which will be published on a page accessed using the Clinics button, which can be switched on or off at any time by site editors.

Add new premises

Allows you to enter the details for each of your surgeries: name, address, postcode (which will generate a street-map link automatically on your Surgery details, Contact us and Opening hours pages), all telephone numbers and a fax number. Practices with more than one surgery can, if they wish, enter a local email address for repeat prescription requests, which will override the main address under practice details, allowing a request to be emailed to the surgery from which the prescription is to be collected. Finally, there is a table for the all-important opening hours information.

Once a surgery’s details have been entered, you will see a link allowing you to edit its details or delete it from the list.

This information is published on a standard page which is accessed by the following buttons: Surgery details, Contact us and Opening hours. Any or all of these can be switched on or off at any time by site editors.

Add new member of staff

Allows you to enter the name, title, job-title, gender and email address of a member of the practice team. You can also enter a pen-portrait and the filename of a picture if you wish (though most practices prefer not to publish photographs of team members on the Web). You can select a work-base for the person, in which case their own page will show this and they will be listed on the surgery’s page. For GPs, you can also enter qualifications, partner status and seniority order - if this is used, doctors are listed in order of seniority; if not, alphabetically. Finally there are tick-boxes for the NHS contract services offered.

Once a person’s details have been entered, you will see a link allowing you to edit these or delete the person from the list.

This information is published on a standard page which is accessed by the About us button, which can be switched on or off as required by site editors.

This is the new scrolling banner feature - just enter the text in a form to activate!

The Sites4Doctors site has been created and is being managed with the Site Management System we offer our customers.
Your site will work just like this one, though it can look very different.

If you have visited before, you will notice that it has been completely re-styled as part of a modernisation in discussion with our clients.
