The Sites4Doctors intranetA password-protected intranet can be added to any Sites4Doctors website for a charge of £100 (less any discount negotiated with the practice’s LMC buying group), covering set-up and three months hosting with support, and an annual hosting and support charge of £125. An intranet provides the ideal means of keeping the staff of larger practices up-to-the-minute with the increasing amount of information that swamps them. A Sites4Doctors intranet is managed using the same Site Management System as the public website. Access to the intranet is restricted to individuals who have been granted privileges using the SMS User System. Each user is assigned a security level between 0 and 5, and each intranet folder is given an access level in the same range. A user has access only to folders with access levels equal to or lower than his or her security level, so whole areas of the intranet can be restricted to specific groups of staff. To avoid offence, no user even sees the buttons for higher-level folders. While our password-protection offers excellent protection agaionst casual intruders, your intranet is still an Internet site and could therefore be penetrated by determined hackers. It should not, therefore, be used to share confidential information about patients of staff. |
The Sites4Doctors site has been created and is being managed with the Site Management System we offer our customers. If you have visited before, you will notice that it has been completely re-styled as part of a modernisation in discussion with our clients.
