Repeat prescription system

Patients can order repeat prescriptions by filling in a simple online form. An email message is compiled from the information given on the form and sent to an address nominated by the practice. The patient receives an email acknowledgement if a return address is entered on the form.

Practices with more than one surgery can offer patients the opportunity to nominate where they wish to collect their prescriptions. These practices can have requests sent to either:

• One central email address
• A separate address for each surgery

The standard request form carries a warning that email is not 100% secure.
